John Kirkham (bishop)

John Dudley Galtrey Kirkham was the Anglican Bishop of Sherborne in the last quarter of the 20th century.[1] Born on 20 September 1935 and educated at Lancing College and Trinity College, Cambridge, he was ordained in 1962. His ministry began with a curacy at St Mary-le-Tower, Ipswich[2] after which he was Chaplain to the Bishop of Norwich[3] and finally (before his elevation to the Episcopate) Canterbury Diocesan Director of Ordinands.[4]
